Often I feel sad that I don’t read as much as I used to. I figure that I am in a stage of life right now that doesn’t lend itself to lots of time to immerse myself in a book, and this stage won’t last forever. And that’s true. VERY true.
But as I was lamenting the absence of books in my life last year, Kirk pointed out to me that I really have been reading more than I think I am. He asked me to list all of the books that I had read that year. Last year I read twelve or thirteen books. What? I had no idea. So I was really encouraged to see that while I don’t spend the hours a week that I used to in reading, and the books are not always ones that I would pick up for fun, reading is happening.
My goal is to spend a little more time processing what I read, and for me, that happens best when I write about it. I am planning to write “book reviews” and post them as I go. Maybe you’d like to join me?
In 2010, so far I have read:
Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth
When Sinners Say “I Do” by Dave Harvey
If I plan to read at least one book per month, you can see that I had better get going!

Mrs. Piggle Wiggle’s Magic
